Project Week

Our credentialed educators will work closely with your child, offering personalized support to guide them through every step of their self-selected project. With individualization, students have the option of completing an already in-process service learning project in a way that benefits the natural world. By the end of the week, your child will have a finished project and have gained valuable skills, deeper knowledge, and boosted confidence in their own learning process.
This week-long opportunity takes place primarily outdoors, providing the perfect setting to facilitate your child’s sense of adventure while also setting them up for project-based academic success. Participants will engage in expeditionary learning and adventurous play and experience the grounding effects of the natural world.

Seedlings
SUMMER CAMP
2.5 - 4 year olds
The Seedlings Summer Camp is an unforgettable adventure for young nature explorers, running from Monday to Thursday each week. Seedlings are offered from June 23rd - July 31st.
Exact times vary based on the location, but you can expect an exciting, hands-on experience that will ignite your child’s curiosity and love for the natural world.
These camps will take place at Batiquitos Lagoon, Buena Vista Park, or San Dieguito Park, offering a variety of beautiful natural settings for exploration.

Throughout the six weeks, your child will immerse themselves in the wonders of nature, from learning to be still and mindful in the beauty of the outdoors to discovering the fascinating creatures that call San Diego home. They’ll explore the intricate patterns of nature, get inspired to create art, and even investigate how humans can help protect the environment. From foraging for plants to acting out stories through dramatic play, each session is designed to encourage creativity, foster environmental awareness, and spark your child's imagination.
For each session, participants should bring a child-size backpack, a 12oz or larger water bottle, sunscreen, a hat for shade or warmth, appropriate hiking shoes or boots, an extra set of clothes, and a balanced, low-sugar lunch and snacks. Expect your child to return home with a deeper connection to nature, newfound skills, and stories to share that will leave them excited for the next adventure!
