FOR CHILDREN in 1ST Grade TO ENGAGE IN SELF DIRECTED LEARNING & ADVENTURE PLAY, this includes:​

​

  • Child-led learning through play and hands-on experiences

  • Inquiry-based approach inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy

  • Engaging activities reflecting children's interests

  • Sequential and explicit literacy instruction utilizing Orton Gillingham techniques

  • Outdoor classroom fostering imaginative play and connection to nature

  • Focus on social-emotional development as well as cognitive, and physical skill development

  • Opportunities for building confidence and meaningful peer relationships

Our Piccola Program takes place ‘RAIN OR SHINE’ in wild spaces where children have access to:

​

  • Natural resources FOR SELF DIRECTED projects

  • A functional shelter to ensure comfort while leaving plenty of opportunities for exploration

  • A child-friendly hand washing station promoting hygiene and self-care.

  • A safe and child-accessible nature classroom potty within the outdoor learning environment
