Guided Play

Our weekly Guided Play is a great opportunity FOR YOUR CHILD to benefit from self-directed adventure PLAY in a supported, wild SPACE.

This 6-week class is designed to introduce you and your child to the joys of having preschool or kindergarten in nature. Unlike traditional playgroups, this program provides young children with opportunities to engage in nature play within an unstructured yet supported wild space. Each session includes activities designed to strengthen developmental skills and give you a glimpse into The Native School’s daily approach to fostering growth and learning.

Every Friday, we embark on a toddler-friendly group hike, exploring nature and discovering together. Following a flexible rhythm, the program emphasizes free play and outdoor exploration while being surrounded by a compassionate community of parents guiding their children’s life journeys. Sessions are child-led, incorporating their natural rhythms for learning and play, and include seasonal stories, song-time, and nature-inspired crafts.
